About Annie.
Hey there! I’m Annie Maguire- a portrait and brand photographer based in both London and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Growing up on the California coast, and even now living in London, I find that warmth still lingers in my work. I began taking photographs as a teenager, capturing the faces of my friends and family around Mount Tamalpais and Point Reyes. Even then, I was drawn to the idea of honoring people in their truest form, making them feel seen, cherished, and worthy of being remembered. Since then, my journey has led me through part-time freelancing through higher education, working in-house as a product photographer, and then freelancing full-time since 2022. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible brands, creators, and individuals, helping them tell their unique stories through compelling visual content.
As one of nine siblings and an aunt to five, I know the value of shared, everyday memories. It’s those fleeting, unguarded moments that fuel my work, and I’m devoted to preserving them with the same love and attention I give my own family.
I’m a lifelong wanderer, constantly seeking inspiration in the world around me. When I’m not working, you can find me swimming in open water, playing music with friends, throwing pottery on the wheel, or getting lost in a new place (IG: @anstastuff if you are curious)
Everyday Inspirations
I see the world in moments—the way light spills through a window, the quiet weight of a held gaze, the split second before a laugh. I aim to capture a subtle magic in my work, where the alchemy of timing and instinct creates moments that resonate and linger.
My approach is cinematic yet tender: less posing, more presence. Less perfect, more you. Guided by values of inclusivity, diversity, and sustainability, I aim to always be mindful- reflecting both the subject and the world around it.
Whether I’m photographing a love story, a space with history, or a landscape that takes your breath away, I want my images to feel alive-spontaneous and effortless. Like a memory, but sharper.
